October

Mon Oct 5, 2009, 8:06 PM
School is back in session, has been for about a month now. I'm taking a 3D Design class and an Intro to Comp Art class for my Art major. Unfortunately it seems like I'm the only person in the Comp Art class that has had any kind of experience with the programs, let alone a computer, or even a pencil and paper. So when we do a class-wide critique and throw all of our stuff up on the big screens it's kind of awkward. OH WELL!! Not many Art majors in the class for some reason... I think.

It's October now, which I think is my favorite month of the year. It gets cooler, crisper, more colorful, you get to start wearing sweatshirts, but it's not so cold that you're in a down parka and rain boots, you get to start eating warm nummy comfort food. And HALLOWEEN is in October. Lovely month.
I'm thinking of being a ringmaster for halloween, or a marionette if my friend Joline doesn't go for it. Or maybe default to Alice in Wonderland. A lot of people have said that'd be a good one for me. I still need to properly complete my Belle one from last year, get a bigger hoop skirt, some petticoats, fix the top, fix the hair.

I've finally started doing some more artwork, and I'm super stoked because I just got a brand new GRAPHICS TABLET!! I'm so excited. So there should be a few things showing up soon. We'll see. Hoping to go to New Zealand and Australia next spring, so I have to set stuff up for that. And maybe a return trip to London during winter break.
I keep getting a lot of requests for tattoo designs, so I think I'll have to start doing those again. Any suggestions? Should be a lot easier now, but who knows if i'll actually get them done. Hopefully...

I think that's about it. I know I never seem to post, but I'm gonna! I'M GONNA! :determined:

Thank you very much!

Hi there, I have a ridiculous question for you :D
I love your gallery, and for the past few months I've been considering the design of my third tattoo. I hope to be getting quite a large one, spanning from my left shoulder blade, over my shoulder, and spreading to my chest and parts of my collarbone. It's gonna be just black - I know this for sure - and I'd like it to be relatively simple, feminine, perhaps almost floral. I wondered if you'd like to have a go at designing it for me? If not, it's no problem. I'd just love to see what you came up with :D xx

I am very sorry, but are you concidering to have a real tatoo? Sorry for bumming in, but as soon as I finished reading this I couldn't help but commenting about it. Forgive me but I hope you would concider thinking about this again. If you are thinking about making a fake tatoo be my guest, I make a lot of them for my couzins and my uncles, but if you are thinking about having a real one burned in your right through your skin, I pleage you to think about your actions. This is not a thing someone can just play with, you can get cancer from this, and do you really want to have something like that carved in your skin forever? Do you really want to wake up all morning and to see this on you everyday? This action can and will kill the skin cells in your body and can never be replaced, sure cells can divied, but this is something permenet thing you're talking about here. I would never intrude about talking to you like this without worry about the conciquesnces and the result and the health isues that results. I just want you to have an idea of what your dealing with. I know you already know about this ( getting a third tattoo). Please reconcider. I promise you that you will never regret this for the rest if your life! I GARANTEE IT!! please have a moment to think, at least my conciounce is cleared and I did what I thought is right. Best of luck , and I appologise.

Well, thank you for your concern, but I've considered it over and over for a long time. And as you know, I already have two. I'm capable of making my decisions rationally, and I would not do something I was likely to regret. Your opinion may be that tattoos are a mistake, but clearly, I am not you. I'm fully aware of the implications of getting a tattoo, but there are worse things in this world with which one can torture the body. I am very serious about getting tattoos, spend months thinking about it, and would certainly never allow a mistake to be burned into my skin. I again thank you for your concern, and your kind heart is truly appreciated, but your concern is not needed here (:

How come the best art comes from the most unbearable pain?

Hey how you dooooin hot stuff? I was thinking about you, and wondering how you are. Emily and I are going to Europe with Ginger. After we get back we should get together with and relive an alternate view of reality and pretend that we lived through the good old days. Happy Summer!
